Kathy Russell is an experienced solicitor, and enjoyed her career including in the areas of child protection and family law. She’s qualified in both Western Australia and England and Wales.
A few years ago, Kathy was called to full time, long term, overseas mission. For the last three years she has been serving with BMS World Mission in Mozambique, where she is part of a team of up to 8 missionaries, including two more lawyers.
In Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, and Beira, its second city, Kathy and her colleagues work with local Christian lawyers and law students to support them in running legal educational awareness sessions, represent individual clients, and encourage fellowship among Mozambican Christian lawyers.
On Sunday 19th June, Kathy will be sharing her experiences of overseas mission, both during our morning service and during the afternoon. So please join us, beginning 10.45am. After the service we will have an indoor picnic and there will be a chance to get to know Kathy over a bite to eat before a further presentation and talk during the afternoon. Please bring a packed lunch if you are staying!
